Part 3.
“HEATHER! WATCH OUT!”
Heather turned her head towards James, a quizzical expression on her face.
“Huh?” She asked.
The Toothy Cow looked at Heather with hungry beady eyes.
“RUN! JUST TRUST ME!”
The Toothy Cow looked at James while he yelled for Heather to run.
“Oh no, why did I yell?” He sighed, “at least I saved Heather” James whispered to himself.
Mooo.
The cow mooed long and loud.
Heather looked behind herself and the quizzical expression turned to fear on her face.
The cow pawed the ground again about to pounce.
Heather stood so still it was almost like she was a stone statue.
James looked around for something to throw at the cow.
And this happened all in a matter of seconds.
Heather looked the cow straight in the eye and felt pity for the poor thing. He was just acting on instinct; he was scared Heather saw it in his eyes. She slowly walked towards the cow. The cow backed up. For a Toothy Cow it was such a sight to see someone coming towards you instead of running away.
Moo.
“It’s alright. I-I won’t hurt you” Heather said uncertainly.
The cow looked at her surprised.
James found a stone and hurled it across the field just behind the Toothy Cow.
The Horse was walking along the forest edge looking for flowers to munch on. She found a patch of flowers somewhere near where she had met Heather. The Horse lowered her head and began munching on the flowers. And then she heard someone yell. The Horse looked up from the flowers and looked towards the noise. She began to gallop towards the commotion to save the person who yelled.
The Toothy Cow ran back into the forest startled by the stone.
“James!” Heather called to him.
“What?” James started towards Heather.
“Come!”
James ran towards Heather a little worried.
“What? What is it?” He asked.
“Look” Heather pointed to a clearing in between the trees.
It was the Horse.
“Woah” James was speechless.
Heather got up and walked towards the Horse and said calmingly just in case the Horse ran away,
“Hi girl, it’s me again, remember? From yesterday?”
The horse whinnied. James was in awe at how beautiful the Horse was. Heather stroked the Horse’s snout.
“Hello” James walked up to the Horse.
The Horse trotted up to James and rubbed her snout against his shoulder and almost knocked him over.
“Wow, you're strong,” James said.
“What do you think we should name her now James?” Heather said then turned to the Horse, “Well are you a girl?”
The Horse looked at her and then neighed.
“I suppose that's a yes,” James said, “I think… well she's strong… and pretty pretty… I think Beauty or no… hmm… Mystic sounds pretty”
“Okay! Sure! Well now let's ask Her if she likes it! Do you like Mystic girl?”
She snorted and went up to Heather and laid down.
“Okay then that settles it Mystic is her name!” James said, sitting down beside Mystic.
Why would she want to beefriend a toothy cow?
Will she try to befriend a toothy cow again sometime?
Great part!
WHY WOULDN'T YOU RUN?!
Pretty horsie!!!!!!
Befriending of a toothy cow? That's even more impressive than what Hyldie tried to do!
I won't hurt you; my brother will!
Ooooh more!
