Wait guys, so I was just doing some more research about the wing feather saga recently. And I know a lot of people are saying that it’s more probable that Janner came back to life. But I found out that it’s actually the opposite while there is optimism that he might have come back to life then it is more definite that he didn’t because when you look it up then once Janner died the books ended and when Andrew Peterson was asked about this, he said no the wingfeather saga is complete.. clearly there could be optimism or different perspectives on how different readers read the books but canonly janner does not come back to life and I think it’s kind of demeaning to the story for everybody to pretend that he does which I understand it’s sad and I was in denial about it too but it’s a pivotal point in the story and assuming that he comes back to life is pretty dangerous. I definitely think that there’s a possibility he could have come back to life but when you read the ending of book 4 more closely and you pay attention to the behaviour and the tone of the story it’s pretty evident that it’s more likely than not that he does not come back to life. :(

There are hints at both but no actual proof of either. It is fully up to the reader, I pretty sure that's how it was meant to be. Also I think your argument contridicts itself. You conclude that after the canon Janner does not come back based on information in the canon. The problem? Your saying he doesn't come back after the canon because of things in the canon. An example to make my point more understandable: Your making a cake (Janner dies). The batter is full of raw eggs and therefore cannot be eaten currently (Janner is currently dead and therefore is not alive). Now using your reasoning we conclude that we will never be able to eat the cake (😥) because it is currently uncooked (Because Janner is dead he will never be alive). This is not right because you can simple put the cake in the oven (Heal Janner with the water from the first well). Now obviously (Because the canon doesn't tell us) there may not be an oven available. And that is where your imagination comes in. To recap your using the current information in the canon that is fully capable of changing, to conclude something that happens (or doesn't happen) after the canon.
Also, when Andrew Peterson said that the Wingfeather Saga was complete, he also mentioned that whatever longing awoken in you at the end is better than anything he could have written (Assuming we're talking about the intro to Winfeather Tales). It's obvious that this was left up to ourselves. But regardless of all this I think this story was made to point to Jesus. So it doesn't matter what anyone decides. My personal decision was made off the fact that Jesus rose not was in or wasn't in the canon.
Woah, that was a lot. It took me a long time to form that theory.
Here's what I think:
Janner comes back to life. My reasons? Keep reading to find out.
1. In OtEotDSoD, when Nugget was run through, I believe that Nugget died. He was literally run through with a spear. Run through with a spear, and we have NO idea how long it was before Peet found him! It could have been anywhere from thirty minutes to two hours. Then he had to go back to his treehouse to get the water, which probably took around six hours, based on how long it took for Peet to get the water for Podo from Anklejelly, (which was closer to his house by a lot!), and then he had to get back to the dog. In all, Nugget could have lain there from 12 hours and 30 minutes to 14 hours. That dog was dead. The water had to have resurrected him, and, as a bonus, made Nugget the size of a horse
2. It's ruin the story if Janner didn't come back
3. Janner's sacrifice was sort of a representation of Jesus' sacrifice. I'm not saying Janner was anywhere near perfect, but he had no fangness in him. In theory, Leeli could have also sacrificed herself. But in the story of Jesus' death and resurrection, (WOOO), Jesus came back, which is my biggest point.
I am pro-jannercomingbacktolife but, don't take this the wrong way, I dont really care either way. just beacause Andrew peterson isnt going to write anymore doesnt mean Janner is dead.
hmmm.....
hear me out on what i think i about this.
when a person reads, watches, sees, writes, draws, and even thinks something, it's added to their library of their memories or experiences. Have you seen this thing where "the brain structure is similar to the structure of the universe?" well, i think that every human being (especially people on TTH....for..some reason) has their own unique universe with its own planets, solar systems galaxies and stars. Everyone has their own way things function. Now, if you read the Wingfeather Saga, (weather you liked it or not doesn't usually matter. at least i think so. some aspects will still be added to your "universe") you may create a seperate "planet/solar system for that world. then you begin exploring it. My version of that "planet" will differ from everyone else's, not drastically, but enough to make it unique. People decide on weather or not Janner came back to life for their own version.
so yea (insert thumbs up) heres my definitely "little" rant :D
