From the Depths of the Dragons’ Sea, Part II

I’m listening to music at almost full blast on earbuds. Unhealthy?

The army sailed far into the sea. They waited for over three months, sent the supply runners back to port twice, and didn’t see any sign of dragons. Finally, Ballen decided he had waited long enough. They was gonna find a drake by other means than waiting.

He ordered four of the dragoneering crews out to find a sqwyrm. After another month on the sea, and another supply run, they finally spotted what they was looking for. The bubbling and swell of water (as you already know from me other tale) was seen, and the chase began. They got lucky and happened to make the catch first try. But they didn’t kill it. This was not a part of the plan. You see, they were going to use the sqwyrm as bait. Ye may think that this would attract a wyrm, but ye would be wrong. With as many ships as there were, only the biggest of the dragons, the drakes, would be able to do anything. After sharpooning the sqwyrm, they drove a special tool known as a fleshspike into its side. A fleshspike is a long metal pole with a sharp point, much like a heart pike. But, once it has been thrown into the dragon, hooks come out of the main blade and cause a lot of damage without killing the dragon. A terrible thing to do, but those dragoneers didn’t care. After all, the main goal of dragoneering was to catch and kill dragons. They had no regard for these creatures. Anyways, fleshspikes allowed them to drag a sqwyrm along without risk of resistance from the sqwyrm itself. The four ships headed back to the main group, trailing an injured sqwyrm behind them. They pushed everything but its head into the water, and waited for the drake. When it finally came, they had a heck of a time trying to kill it.

This one may be just barely following the guidelines for violence... I think its fine though? Hopefully. If it disappears, ya’ll know what happened.
