Part 2
Heather was looking out into the night while telling her siblings about the horse. But of course they didn’t believe her, not for one second.
“C’mon guys! It’s really real, just tomorrow come with me when I pull the weeds and then you’ll see” Heather said to them.
“Okay,” Maya rolled her eyes at Heather.
“Oh don’t roll your eyes Maya! You know Father hates when you do that!”
“Fine, but I still don’t believe you!”
And then James–Heather’s brother finally spoke.
“I believe you Heather”
“Well then. James let’s go tomorrow morning and look for her–well I think the horse is a her at least”
“What are we going to name the horse?” James asked quietly.
“I didn’t think about that maybe…. umm well what do you think–”
“Well I think to pick a perfect name–” Maya interrupted Heather
“Maya! I didn’t ask you for a name and anyways you said you don't believe me!”
“Ugh, well I'll come but just because I want to name it” And then Maya crossed her arms and walked away.
“Okay, now I was saying, James what do you wanna name it?”
“I think I wanna see the horse first”
“Okay well then, let’s go up to the forest's edge tomorrow morning bright and early!”
“Okay!”
They climbed into they’re beds and then Heather snuffed out the candle. She closed her eyes and went to sleep immediately dreaming about the beautiful horse.
Heather was up and ready when it was about 5:00 A.M. She loved waking up early. It was a beautiful thing to hear the birds sing and sometimes see a Toothy Cow appear peeking by the edge of the forest. It always gives her such a thrill to see one. She thanked the Maker for such beautiful things such as mornings and animals.
One time when she was little she told her Ma that when she grows up she wants to befriend a Toothy Cow.
I think I do still want to befriend a Toothy Cow. I think I would want to befriend all of the animals of Glipwood forest! She thought to herself. She walked along the garden seeing Thwaps from time to time and chasing them off.
James was walking towards Heather when he saw something weird. He saw something out of the corner of his eyes. He walked towards it but something horrible stopped him.
There was a Toothy cow right behind Heather pawing at the ground and looked ready to charge at her!
Beefriending a toothy cow?!
Exciting! I look forward to hearing what happens!
Befriending a toothy cow wouldn't be very safe.
TOOTHY COOOOOOOOOOOW!
You mentioned Willow in the story. But nice!
