A/N: If you haven't read Pt. 23 then this chapter wont make any sense to you, because it's got all of the OC's
"So you all understand the plan?"
"For the fifth time Madya, YES."
"Geez Kaian, no need to overreact."
Kaian slammed his hands on the table that held their maps. "I'm. Not. Overreacting."
Beric snorted. "Sure."
William sat up in his chair. "Kai, she's our leader and like a good leader she's trying to make sure we know what to do and don't accidentally run off a cliff."
At that last part Elmara began laughing, earning a glare from William.
"Look, it's just that we've been planning for a week now! Why can't we leave yet?" Kaian asked.
"Because it's not time yet," Madya explained. "We're going into... well basically uncharted territory, and we need to be prepared for it."
"I am prepared!"
"And I believe you. Which is why we're leaving tonight."
Kai looked up. "Wait really?"
"Yeah, seriously? Tonight?" Elmara grimaced.
"Yeah. So go finish packing then meet me at the castle courtyard." Madya began rolling up maps and putting them in their place in the library where they were talking.
"Hey, you alright?" William asked her. "You seem a little tense."
Madya sighed. "Yeah, I'm fine, I'm just worried about everything."
Will nodded. "I think we all are."
"Yeah, I think even your dog is." Beric said, looking at Yora.
Yora huffed angrily.
"Beric she's a wild wolf, not a dog." Madya corrected. "But she probably is nervous too."
Yora yawned and layed down to take a nap.
"We should all probably take a nap," Elmara said. "Maker knows we'll need the strength."
Will nodded. "I agree. Oh, that reminds me, Madya, how much sleep have you gotten this week?"
Madya grimaced. "Um....fifteen."
"Fifteen hours? That's not too bad but you still nee-"
"Fifteen minutes."
Everyone stared at Madya.
After a few minutes, she spoke up. "Oh stop giving me that look, I don't like it."
They kept staring, so Yora stood up and growled loudly, making them jump.
"That's some wolf you got there." Beric said, staring at Yora.
Yora stared on back and they had a silent staring contest, which Yora won.
"Oookay, after... whatever that was," Elmara said, "I'm going to head home to pack."
"Great, we should all do the same." Will said, standing up. He looked at Madya. "GET SOME SLEEP!"
Madya shrugged. "Sure, I can try."
After everyone left, Madya headed to her room to grab her pack. She had been ready for the scouting trip since the day she asked everyone to come.
She grabbed her pack and set it on the floor, then layed on her bed. After a few minutes of silent prayers to the Maker, she fell asleep.
And her sleep was full of nightmares of the things that could go wrong on the trip.
I'm actually really happy with how the character's attitudes turned out.
