Madya walked in the forest, with Yora beside her. As they were walking at a steady pace, Yora suddenly growled.
"What is it Yora?" Madya asked, looking down at the wolf.
Yora continued growling, and slowly crept towards a small group of trees. Madya crept along with her, looking around for what was causing Yora to growl.
Then Madya could here voices.
"So, wut shoul' we do wif 'im?" A dry voice asked. Madya noted that it sounded like a green fang.
A deeper voice-a grey fang- answered. "Well, insurance of course."
"Wadya mean?" The green fang asked.
"Well, if we tell his family that we have him, then they'll do anything we say to."
"Hmm, good point. Well, what should we do with 'im right now? Like, should we give him food or ssssomething?"
"No, no food. Just let him sit there." The grey fang replied.
Madya peeked out from behind a tree, and could see the two fangs hovering over a figure. Madya could tell that it was a man, by his short, brown hair. But the man's back was to her, so she couldn't see who it was.
"You, Warden, should have thought about wandering into the foressst before you did." The green fang taunted the man.
Warden? Madya thought. A jail warden maybe? Madya grew more and more worried by the second.
As Madya sat there watching, she saw Yora look up and start barking. When Madya looked up, she saw Leeli on Hulwen, heading back in the direction of the castle.
Madya considered calling up to her, but then that would let the fangs know that she was there, and possibly lead to them capturing her.
As Madya thought about this, she wasn't really paying attention to what was behind her.
Moo.
Madya turned around to find a toothy cow, angry and pawing at the ground.
Yora started to bark at the cow, while Madya began to climb the tree.
"TOOTHY COW!" The green fang bellowed. The two fangs quickly climbed up a tree, leaving the man-unbound man- to himself. He quickly got up, and climbed another tree. Madya noticed how nimble and quick he was when he climbed up the tree. It looked familiar in a way.
Madya turned her attention back to the cow. She saw Yora bounding away, trying to lead the cow away, but the toothy cow had its attention on Madya.
"Madya!"
Thorn drove his houndrick around Anniera, calling out her name. He had been searching for her all day, and even had stopped in a few towns, asking people if anyone had seen her. Sadly, no one had. Even as he searched the hills, Thorn could feel his hope waning.
"Madya!"
Thorn was calling out her name so loud, his dogs started to whine about it.
"Sorry boys, just gotta call her name out as loud as possible in case she'll hear me." Thorn told his dogs. It seemed like they understood, because they stopped their whining.
After he searched for a few more hours, Thorn decided to head back to the castle, since he and his dogs were getting tired. Once they arrived at the castle, Thorn took a long nap along with his dogs.
"Sara, you should eat." Nia told her daughter-in-law. The family had just sat down to eat dinner, all except Sara, who was worried out of her mind for Janner.
"I'm not hungry." Sara answered flatly.
Arundelle sighed. "I know what you're going through, and even though you're worried, you still need to eat."
Sara considered this. "Alright." She said with a sigh as she sat down. Nia passed her a plate of dinner, as Thorn came into the dining room.
"Did you see anything?" Leeli asked her husband.
Thorn sighed as he sat next to her. "No."
Artham looked at Arundelle, then at Sara, who was just poking at her food with her fork. He sighed, then continued eating in silence.
Kalmer burst into the halls, with Galya next to him. They looked like they had ran all the way over to the dining room.
"Kalmer, what is it?" Nia asked her son, seeing how he and his wife looked frantic.
"Well, some reports just came in, and, uh, they aren't good." Galya said, as Kal was trying to calm down.
"What is it?" Artham asked.
Kal looked at his uncle. "Fang ships were spotted in the West. Some were closer to us than others. Some of the people reported fangs spotted on land, in the woods."
Sara looked up from her food quickly.
Leeli and Thorn looked at each other in worry.
Artham and Arundelle looked at Nia, who didn't take her eyes off her son.
"Where are all the children?" She asked.
"They are with Freva right now." Galya replied.
"Good. Now, I would recommend putting guards with the children, for safety." Artham said.
Sara stayed silent, making everyone else even more worried.
Leeli spoke up. "That's a good idea uncle Artham."
"I'll tell the palace guards right now." Kalmer said before he walked out.
Galya sat down next to Sara, and grabbed a plate of dinner.
"I'm sure Janner is fine Sara." Galya told her.
Sara sighed. "I do too."
That was an exciting part!!! What are the Fangs doing in Anneria??? What’s going to happen???
