Here is my story and example for the new game! (This is far longer than it needs to be! Anyone else's can be much shorter, or it can be long if you want it too be.)
Ari woke up with a start, shooting up in her bed. "Wait!" She cried out to no one. Her sister poked her head around the rail of their bunk bed with a smile. "Good morning!" She said with a smile. Ari fell back down onto her bed, rubbing her eyes and steadying her breathing. "Morning Nell." She said flatly. Her sister shook her head and went to the door, already wide awake and dressed. "Mom said that we would be leaving in twenty minutes, so hurry up!" She bounded off, excitement echoing off the walls of their home. Ari sluggishly climbed down the ladder of her bunk, relaying the events of her strange dream in her mind. The dream played out like so:
Sitting up she looked around; darkness clouded her vision, and a rotten stench filled her nostrils. She tried to stand completely but was held back by something encasing her wrists and ankles. She heard the rattling of chains and held up her arm enough to see the heavy iron shackles rubbing them raw. Her mind was swimming, and she couldn't focus on anything. Then a slow Dong! Dong! Dong! Could be heard from somewhere far off. Like an object being ran across metal bars. Jail! Prison! Escape! Her mind yelled, suddenly aware of her predicament. Something grabbed her by the neck and a hiss reverberated across the stone walls. She smelt the most horrific acrid scent and saw gleaming fangs dripping with venom. She screamed and called out but an echoing laugh was her only answer. Until the noises of a fight came from somewhere in the distance. A crack! Sounded out and light began to filter into the heavy darkness.
"Unshackle her! Quickly!" A young voice called out, steady and commanding. She couldn't see anything more than a blurry blob of light and colors now, but she felt weight drop from her ankles and wrists, she fell to the ground, unable to hold herself up. Strong arms lifted her from the ground and carried her out into a world of steal hitting steal and loud sounds of battle. She winced as the noises caused her head to pound A gentle hand covered her ears for her.
"You'll be fine Malady." She heard a deep and resonating voice say quietly. Something familiar about it all clawed at her mind but she couldn't seem to remember anything. She felt a sudden weightlessness and a huge gust of wind hit her face. She gasped at the feeling of flight and soon she fell asleep. That was when she had woken up.
Ari pondered it as she came downstairs fully dressed, finally she realized it was very similar to her Wingfeather books and chalked it up to reading them too late. But nothing could help the fear rising in her throat as she scarfed down some cereal. She was going to school today, after years of being taught by her mother she had to go to school. She still didn't understand exactly why, many confusing answers had been given to her and none made sense. Her mom handed her a bag and hugged her tightly.
"Please watch after your siblings, I promise, this won't be for long." Ari nodded and walked out the door swiftly, swiping the tears out of her eyes. Her sister and brother had already taken an earlier school bus, so Ari stood alone at the bus stop, fidgeting with her wavy hair. She looked over to see a boy, on the other side of the street, turned away from her. A navy-blue cloak flapped around his shoulders, and strange blonde hair rustled in the wind with it. He looked like he was from a different world! She looked at him and squinted. He looked so familiar... His head turned and recognition shone in his eyes. Ari took a step back, unsure if she was seeing the boy right. He nodded once, then the bus drove up, obscuring him from sight. Ari leaned around, trying to find the kid again, her feet walked forward without her, and she saw a flash of navy blue disappear into the thicket behind the house. She looked at the school bus, then at the trees. Torn between following and investigating the strange person or doing as she was supposed to and waiting for the bus. Something rang out inside of her and Ari felt herself pulled into the thicket. She ran with all her might. Her backpack thumping against her. She stopped and looked around, a flash of hair.
"Wait! Stop!" She called out, unsure of continuing. She realized how silly this was, how could they ever be who she thought they were? It was ridiculous, and yet... She ran after them, sprinting and shedding her backpack. She came to a wide-open area in the middle of the wooded thicket. The boy turned to face her, and she gasped as several others emerged from the woods. Her heart nearly stopped in fear and wonder. People from the pages she had read, the stories she had made, the ideas she had had emerged before her. A man with wings, a short person with curly hair and hairier feet, a tall person with straight long hair and pointed ears and many others. The boy turned with a grin and held out a hand.
"Are you ready for an adventure miss Ari?" He asked with a joyful gleam in his eyes. He held out his hand for her and she hesitated a second. She looked back to her home, and something in her told her that she was about to be gone for a very long time. She didn't think, she grabbed the Janner's hand, and felt everything shrink and warp around her, then darkness. Her adventure had begun!
Ohhhh I love this so much!! I'm late finding it, but I'm so glad I did!
Question! How am I supposed to give the story to you do I make a post and then put the link in the comments?
This is epic! Can't wait to start!
That's awesome!! Quick question. Is there a time limit? Cause I might not get to writing until later in the week or the weekend
Cool!
This was really fun!! If I have the time I may try to write something. 😅
This is really cool! Is the short person with hairy feet a hobbit?

Ooh... interesting! I have to admit I'm very jealous of Ari at the moment...
