that guy always kinda weirded me out, i wasnt necessarily expecting it, but i cant say as i was surprised. A couple times Janner would mention something along the lines of him not feeling right i think. He could tell that Bonifer was pretending not to care that Kal was a fang That didnt makes sense to me, idk maybe its just cuz i already know what he did but i never liked him, he seemed like a fraud from the start
That’s really interesting actually I’m getting more excited to read this. A fang essentially is just a corrupted person. Their corruption is just on a more obvious level, someone can be corrupt but no one knows based on appearance alone. So can a Fang be considered a fang based on appearance alone? I would argue that any person whose heart is corrupt would be considered a “Fang”
At no point would I say that Kalmar’s heart was corrupt. It was damaged and maybe weakened but never corrupt. So if we say that a fang is a person with a corrupt heart then, no. Ig at no point in the story would I consider Kalmar to be a fang even when he was gone. That was merely the result of fear and confusion. But Kal did say the storekeeper said u had to want to become a fang in order for it to work so now I’m second guessing myself. Maybe that’s why Kal was able to “come back” cuz he may have made the choice, but it may not have been bcuz his heart was corrrupt. He didn’t really have any other option so ye id still say he never really was a fang.
This just got so deep and philosophical I love this😂
