For SOME STINKINā REASON, my friends donāt want to hear ANYTHING about the Wingfeather Saga. They just donāt seem to be interested, and itās really frustrating because either they donāt want to know about it, or they say yes and still donāt care :(
The fact that itās easier to get ADULTS into a kidās book (which Iāve managed to doātwice) than actual kids is no less than insane! Iām not sure why my friends donāt want get into either versions (TV adaptation OR the books), but it makes me very sad insideā¹ļø. So yeah, I have no in-person friends to talk about the Wingfeather Saga to except the Broken Shield Salesman (and he hasnāt even finished the entire series yet!). I donāt know why Iām talking about this honestly, Iām in a forum full of Featherheads. Still, kinda sad. Anyways I have a spoonš„.
Thereās this kid in my grade who started going to my school last year, and I didnāt really pay much attention to him or get to know him. Then this year we were on the same tennis basketball and lacrosse team so I got to know him super well. We have so much in common itās crazy. He loves books as much as I do! And fantasy is his favorite genre! So, as I was saying, this year I got to know this kid super well and we became good friends. We talked about books and sports and baguettes (just kidding not baguettes). When I learned he loved reading as much as me, I asked him if heād read the WFS, and he said no, so I told him he should and he said he would. Happy story right? Wrong. Just as I was getting to be good friends with him, he told me he was moving to Florida this summer because his dadās in the military! š I literally cried. Anyway, the point is, this kid was basically my one and only friend who I could talk to about books AND sports and now heās gonna be gone! Heās moving on June 20. **starts crying*
