Back in my days on the strand I learned from an old man named Volodya how to fry glipperfish.
Here is a recipe of sorts:
1) catch your fish. You might want to make a meal that actually exsists...
2) clean the scales off your fish. We used knives back on the strand but a power washer also works well. (This is not a joke. My dad actually power washes fish. Im as surprised as you are)
3) cut the fins off your fish
4) decapitate the fish. Unless you like fish heads for some reason.
5) clean the inside of the fish
6) wash the fish
7) freeze the fish for five days to kill any parasites. This is preferable, but if you want you live dangerously and eat it the day you catch it, thats your loss
8) unfreeze/let the fish thaw so you can cook something other than a block of ice
9) wash it again
10) drop it in some flour
11) fry it in oil untill its a golden color
12) nom nom
Here are some photos
And footage of me giving a peace offering to the beast that lives in my area
