anyone else noticed Podo's name change? in N!OBE, he says they call him "Scale Raker" while in the Wingfeather tails, the crew cries "Scale Rider". Do the dragons have a different name for him or did he mishear the crew?
Personally, I think it’s a flaw lol. But! Perhaps it could be interpreted as the men seeing Podo as more of a hero and calling him Scale Rider, while the dragons see him in a negative view and therefor call him scale raker

Yep, first time I read through WFT I wondered why that was. Still not entirely sure, but Ickaw’s theory seems plausible.
And although Aerwiar has no gunpowder, he also mentions cannons once (it’s in B1, near the beginning).
I think the dragons have their own name for him. To them, he was a villain who hurt Hulwen. To the sailors, he was a hero who bravely rode a dragon.
