Wasn't he only mostly melded when he came into the Hollows? (or either I read that wrong) Artham told him to sing the song again in TMitH and I thought that's when they described him as golden brown. That makes mental sense to me because, like you said, it also changed Artham's hair. His wings also didn't match his hair before or after though, so I find that weird but whatever. I feel like Artham being Throne Warden would make him stronger though maybe less obvious than Esbens? like, because, something I can't explain with brain lag.

For one thing, Aunt Illia taught me the proper way to do crazy things like run on the castle rooftops or cartwheeling in the trees without breaking my neck. For another, I’m the Throne Warden.
