Hey, ya'll! I just found this amazing fan animatic by Laura Fouse on Facebook! It is set after book four, though, so if you have NOT READ BOOK FOUR ALL THE WAY THROUGH, DO NOT WATCH THE VIDEO!
Are we clear on that? Good. Now, here is the video (warning- it may make you cry).
Animatic pops up on the posts* No... Not again... Don't watch it again!
2:51 later*
Imma watch it now!
I'm so late to this, but I just found it and I'm crying!!! 😭😭 *sniff* It was beautiful!!
@Laura D. Did you make this?
I just choked over my cookie 🍪 😭
😥🥲 such a good video. the song goes perfectly
I heard about C.S. Lewis' book "A Grief Observed" which analyzed the process of grieving the loss of a loved one. An interesting theme found in both books (and Job) is confusion and frustration when God acts slowly to solve one's problems. In James 5:11 it says "Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy."
When Janner and his siblings had been kidnapped by Gnag and his minions the book expressed his anger towards his Creator for allowing such evil to exist unrestrained. That would line up somewhat with Job's response to his unwarranted suffering. He was distressed and wondered why God would permit him to suffer so much when he had not done any wrong.
These are universal themes that Peterson did a very good job articulating and analyzing in his WFS, as well as redemption afterward.
