Forum Rules
______
Welcome, fellow Wingfeather fan! We're so glad to have you here! This is a place where you can connect with other Wingfeather Saga fans, discuss the book and TV series adaption, and share your fan projects.
Here at the Thwap House, we strive to maintain a beneficial, Christian environment where teens and adults can discuss the Wingfeather Saga and other lighthearted topics. The purpose of this article is to help you understand the details of how we moderate on this forum.
While we have rules in our forum to help you understand the limits of what to post, we also want to make clear that we need to make decisions based on our own judgment as Christians. Some calls that we make may not be stated explicitly in the site rules, but we expect you to bear with us in these situations, because in joining this site you agree to accept our authority as moderators. And while we do our best to catch and remove any questionable content as quickly as possible, there may be times that we miss something. Please use caution on this website, and if you see something that goes against these rules and guidelines, feel free to let us know by reporting it!
General Conduct
______

1. Be Kind. We want this to be a happy place for Wingfeather Saga fans to connect, so please keep conversations friendly and respectful.

2. Cussing or swearing of any kind is prohibited. Because we welcome younger users as well, please do not use any form of profanity. Even words such as "damn" or "hell" will not be permitted.

3. Guard your personal information. While sharing things about yourself is not against the rules, we would ask you to consider carefully the things you share, such as your email address or location.

4. Be thoughtful when sharing personal or family issues. Even though we do allow people to make posts asking for prayer on personal issues, we encourage you to do so with someone you know personally instead. Posts mentioning suicide, self-harm, or depression are not allowed.

5. Do not post inappropriate content. This applies to images, links to 3rd party sites, and built-in Wix GIFs. Learn more about what we define as inappropriate content below.

6. Have fun! Above all, we want you to enjoy the site and the opportunity of connecting to other Featherheads. If you have any more questions about the site's rules, feel free to ask us in the "Help" section of the forum.
Discussion Guidelines
______

Discussion about Present Events
While members may have discussions about today’s world, whether if it’s theology or even political discussions, the above rules still apply. Because this site is for ages as young as 13, there are some members that may not be fully aware of the evil in today’s world. For this reason, we expect the older members to use discernment when discussing these topics.

Sexual Immorality
We define this as anything that does not take a Biblical view on sexuality. Any mention of sexual immorality will be removed. Do not post pictures of yourself or another person in revealing clothing, including bathing suits.

General Discussion

In the General Discussion area, members are free to discuss their hobbies and interests, including books and shows besides the Wingfeather Saga. However, as always, please keep in mind younger members when starting a discussion.

Prohibited Discussions
Some book series, shows, video games or other media we may ban if we find them to be maturely rated, immoral, or otherwise unsuitable for discussion on this site.

Because Harry Potter is a very controversial topic within Christian culture, we have decided to forbid its discussion about the movies and books, and generally it’s content. Discussion about the Percy Jackson and Keeper of the Lost Cities series are not allowed for the same reasons.
Some examples of media content we do allow are Lord of the Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia. Feel free to ask a moderator or administrator if you are unsure whether a certain kind of content is allowed.
Links

When a member posts a link to another site in our forum, it is moderated before approval to confirm that it agrees with the site rules and does not endanger other members in any way. Links leading to content that interferes with the site rules are not approved.
Roleplaying and Collaborative Stories

Collaborative stories and roleplaying are allowed, but only if there are adequate moderators to keep up with the content being posted.

Writer's Club and Fanfiction

Writer's club is a category where members can share their stories, essays and poems, and Fanfiction is for Wingfeather Saga-related writing. Here are some tips to make sure that your stories are accepted on our site.

-
Steer clear of adult/teen themes. This includes but is not limited to suicide, domestic violence, child abuse, horror, excessive romance, and overly dark themes.
-
Be careful with blood and gore. Keep it to a minimum, and when writing fantasy violence, keep it tasteful. Consider that kids may be reading what you write.
-
Acknowledge that Moderators and Admins have a right to remove content that interferes with the site rules.
-
Amplify light with your stories. Make the world a better place by writing stories to encourage and bring joy to people.
-
Have fun! Above all things, please don't be shy about sharing your work. Understand that these rules are here to help everyone have a better time, and if you accidentally break the rules, it's not the end. Just do your best; that's all you can do.
Rules for Posting Stories
Please follow the rules below when posting your story on the Thwap House.

-
Please post your story directly in text on your post. Do not link to another site where your story is posted, and do not post it as a file attached to your post.
-
When posting a story in multiple parts, please include links to previous and later chapters. This makes it easier for people to catch up and makes older posts easier to find.

Thwapmoots

A Thwapmoot is an online video call for Thwap House members that is hosted by the moderators. Originally, these were hosted each Saturday after a Wingfeather Saga episode was released, but currently we have no fixed schedule. In our most recent Thwapmoots, we have used Skype as our platform. We welcome parental involvement in these events and moderate the same as we do on the forum. We’re constantly trying to improve the experience and safety of these thwapmoots, as we understand that doing video calls with people online can be problematic with regard to security and privacy.

Currently, we are not hosting site-wide Thwapmoots.

Contests

We have a seasonal T.H.A.G.S. contest that offers real prizes. Because of this, we require that the members who are below 18 to ask their parents beforehand.
We hope that you will enjoy your membership at the Thwap House. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to email thwaphouse.official@protonmail.com. We would love to hear your feedback!
