Janner paced his cell. The prophecy was sticking in his head like glue. It was all he could think about. He wondered what the Stonekeeper meant when she said that they were going to conduct a test.
What kind of test?
Janner fell asleep thinking about it.
Madya struggled with her bonds, as a Fang dragged her to Murgah's room.
"What. Do. You. Want with me?" She asked.
The Fang hissed. "Oh, nothing. Just what you hold." The Fang growled.
Madya scowled as the Fang opened the door to Murgah's room.
She was sitting at her desk, reading something. When she looked up, and saw Madya, a smile formed on her lips.
"Thank you, Larb. You may leave now." She told the Fang.
Larb took Madya's bonds off, bowed, then left, closing the door behind him.
Murgah looked at Madya, then motioned for her to sit. Madya went and sat in one of the chairs that sat in front of Murgah's desk.
She smiled. "Madya. Do you know why you're here?"
Madya scowled. "Because you'rea horrible person who deserves the Maker's Wrath."
Murgah laughed. "No. Because, I suspect something. Something about you."
Madya was confused.
Murgah noticed that and laughed. "Read this." She handed her a parchment, looking very old.
Madya grabbed it, and read it.
When she was done, she looked up, shocked and confused.
Murgah laughed again. "Child, you are the chosen one, I believe."
"But, what if-"
"It is not Janner's child. It is you. There is much evidence for that." Murgah said.
Madya stood up. "But, what do you want with me? So what if that prophecy is true, what does it have to do with you?"
Murgah smiled. "Because, if it is true, and it is, then I must do what is right for my Fangs. Eliminate the Chosen One."
Madya took this all in. The words 'Eliminate the Chosen One' wouldn't leave her head.
She almost fainted thinking about it.
