Leeli flew Hulwen over the Annieran mountains. Even though she wasn't able to understand Hulwen (since only Throne Wardens can) she was able to communicate with her, and the two had a fast bond.
"Do you see anything?" Leeli asked.
Hulwen shook her head.
Leeli frowned. "That's too bad. Well, maybe we should try over the forest."
Hulwen tipped her wing a bit, and steered toward the forest.
Madya walked along with Yora at her side, keeping a good watch out for any dangerous animals. An hour earlier, they had encountered a horned hound, but Yora had scared it off. They had encountered many thwaps, including tailhanded thwaps. Those ones seemed to make the most trouble out of all the thwaps, so Madya began to dread them.
Yora stopped suddenly, looking up at the sky, growling.
"What is it Yora?" Madya asked her.
Yora barked a few times, growing more and more nervous by the second.
Madya looked up and teared up at what she saw.
Leeli.
Her crippled cousin Leeli.
Her crippled cousin Leeli riding a dragon, calling out her name.
They were actually looking for Madya. It took her a minute to realize that her family cared for her.
Had it not been for the toothy cow, Madya might have actually responded to Leeli's calls.
Sara paced the floor.
Nia tried to comfort her daughter-in-law. "Sara, I'm sure Janner is ok."
"But he's always home in time!" Sara replied.
"Yes, but I'm sure he just forgot about it, while looking for Madya."
Then Janner and Sara's daughter walked in.
"Is Papa home yet?" She asked.
Sara looked at her daughter. "No." She sighed.
"Can I go look for him?"
"No, it's not safe. If anything, I should go look for him." Sara said.
Nia looked at her granddaughter, then mouthed to her, "I'll explain later."
Janner's daughter understood immediately, then walked out of them room.
"Sara, it's not safe in the Annieran forest." Arundelle said.
"Yes, and that's why I'll take Triket* and fly her out there." Sara said.
Nia and Arundelle looked at each other, hopeless. Sara was determined to go look for her husband, even if it meant putting herself in danger.
Leeli and Thorn's son walked in. "Uncle Kalmer said that he's gonna go look for uncle Janner." He said.
Nia looked at her grandson. "Well, Willson, go tell him that I said not to."
Willson looked at his grandmother, then walked out.
Nia sighed. "Everyone will be alright. I'm sure of it."
Little did she know, that neither her nor Sara would see Madya or Janner for a very, very long time.
READ THIS LIKE ONE OF ANDREWS SIDE NOTES:
*Triket is one of the sea dragons that migrated to land. She ended up having a good bond to Sara, surprising everyone in the Castle.
You used the same name for Sara's dragon as you used in your Fanfiction site

Yay! Footnote!
Yay! Kaladan showed up! Oh no! That’s a bad ending!
Ok, I didn't read this one because I can't find the first ones for some reason. Can you post the link?
Not an ending like that!
Great job! I really like your style of writing. It sounds exactly like Andrew wrote it.
I really enjoyed how you added that footnote! I read it the way Andrew did the footnotes in the audiobook! 😂
