Chapter 12: Amethyst

Amethyst bounced around in her room. It was a small dirt space in the burrow her and her father lived in.

She had her bed, her stuffies, her blankets and carpet. Life was good.

The little pupa fluttered her bat wings, practicing her flying skills in the limited space. She jumped off the floor, bumped against the ceiling, and landed back on the ground with a thump. A scuffle sounded in the other room and a large dark grey-scaled dragon poked his head through the doorway. He was a roundish shape, and though he had wings, he looked too large to fly with them. His horns were short and thick, and his claws strong. He looked Amethyst over quickly with worried blue eyes.

Here’s some little doodles I’ve done recently of my Cursed Waters story I’ve been writing over in Word! (Spoiler for chapter 10 in the last drawing)

Gosh, I really love drawing Marrow, she’s SO CUTE. 🥹

But I figured I’d just share a bit since it helps put the words to life a bit. :3

Is it accurate to the characters? Possibly not, but I tried. Was I really, really tired when I finished it? Yes. There might be some grammar issues. Sorry about that. (Mods: I go into some slightly darker topics (I think it might not be an issue...). If it's too much, please let me know!) Hope it makes sense, ya'll! Tossing and turning… tossing and turning… 

Lay still. You have to lay still. Bats said moving around would make it worse… Matt would be so mad if I got myself hurt more than I already am. Scratch that. He’d just give me that look and say something like “You can do so much better, sister.” And then maybe go beat up Seth or something. Both of them. 

But that was nothing compared to how mad…

So apparently- TODAY FEBRUARY 4TH IS NATIONAL SWEATERS DAY AND HOMEMADE SOUP DAY AND .....CREATE A VACUUM DAY?????

I mean, we need to celebrate vacuums too I guess

In case you can't tell I'm bored thats mostly why I made this post.

BUT ALSO FOR SWEATERS AND HOMEMADE SOUP AND VACUUMS!!!

Random updates on my life:

I finished the extremely rough draft of a story I’m still pretty terrified to share, started two other books, started a new year training in Taekwondo, had a somewhat difficult visit to the US, drew some, (If people want to see some of that I might make an art dump post) and read A TON

It must be cloudy today, the sun’s not as bright. Phoenix is awake, how serious was he that he’s always ready by sunrise?

“Morning,” he greets.

“Good morning,” I respond, “How long have you been up?”

He shrugs, “Not long, sun started showing a bit ago.”
