**shrugs* I call it soda more than pop- but tbh i use the brand name most times like Coke or Ink....or flavored-sweet fizzy-water of furture death. for no reason other than confusing people. my new motto; "you can't control how bad of a day your having, but you can control how weird of a day everyone else is having!"
I think it depends on where you're from. I say "pop" around my family, but around other people, especially if they are from different places I say "soda" as to prevent confusion 😂
Just looked it up. Apparently (in the US), it’s concentrated specifically in two states: WI and RI. Everywhere else it’s either a water fountain or a drinking fountain.
Linguistic maps are interesting.
(Fun fact: if you call a “carbonated beverage” coke, you probably also call a “public water station”, specifically, a water fountain.)
I call it soda, but I think pop is a neat way to say it too! :D
I call it soda, where I love they call it soda and soda pop.
I think soda pop might be like an old lady term lol
In Fab and my home world, we call it
✨pop soda✨
There is an anime movie called, ‘Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop’
I usually say ‘soda’ but I don’t really care.
✨soda pop✨

Idk I think I call it both but usually just call it by the brand
Here in Germany, we have Coke, Fanta and Spezi, so we just call it by the brand.
