LOTR Pets

You asked...I bring it. This will include modern day animals because I do not know of any animals in Middle-earth. Also, I am just doing the Fellowship.

Frodo: I think he would have something small. Perhaps a hamster. He would name it Nibble.

Sam: A rabbit. No questions asked. I think he would name it Mr. Frodo.

Merry & Pippin: They would beg Gandalf to get them a kitty, and he would, after much badgering, agree to get them one if they both took care of it. In a month there would be a huge cat attacking Hobbits in the Shire. It's name would be Hank.

Aragorn: He strikes me as a dog person...probably a hunting dog. Maybe a rottweiler? He would probably name it something practical, like Scout or something.

Gandalf: He would have a bird, and it would perch on his staff. It does not like Pippin and it would attack him on sight. He would come up with a good name like Lortian, or something.

Boromir: He strikes me as a cat person. And he would have a big tabby cat. He would name it Mr. Fluff.

Legolas: He would have an elegant cat and name it Boe, because of his bow and arrow.

Last, is Gimli. A chow-chow dog, names Gus. I really thought of this because I could see him get on the dog's back and just be bouncing all around as the dog was jumping and playing around. And I could see him get attacked very easily!
