that guy always kinda weirded me out, i wasnt necessarily expecting it, but i cant say as i was surprised. A couple times Janner would mention something along the lines of him not feeling right i think. He could tell that Bonifer was pretending not to care that Kal was a fang That didnt makes sense to me, idk maybe its just cuz i already know what he did but i never liked him, he seemed like a fraud from the start
honestly one thing that really got under my skin was the lack of respect from the hollowsfolk when they first arrived. The Wingfeather family went through so much and then they get treated like that, cuz ur right its the king and queen who are their closest allies. And to what purpose, what was treating them poorly gunna do except effect them negatively in the long run. He may have wounded his own brother but he wasnt aware of what he was doing, he was lost. personally i dont believe he was a Fang while he was aware of who he was. I think the Hollowsfolk would define being a fang by weather u look like one or not, i dont believe that thats true. Kal never hurt anyone while aware of himself even when being provoked and hated, thats not something a lot of Hollowsfolk could say even "being" human. wow i did not mean to write this much, i clearly feel very strongly about this😂
honestly they all are!!! even the villains are wonderfully woven into the story
