heys guys so i made the berry buns. they didn't look the best, but they tasted AMAZING (if i do say so myself) so i figured i would share my invention.
So i made my pastrey dough from scratch but if you don't want to spend 6 hours doing that pre-made stuff should work too. HOWEVER if you do want to heres the recipe i used: https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/danish-pastry-dough/#tasty-recipes-76126
for the filling i did rasberry filling and cream cheese frosting. I can't send the frosting recipe cuz its in a cookbook and i'm too lazy to take a pic of it. find your own recipe 😏. you can use any fruit filling you want but heres the one i used: https://veenaazmanov.com/raspberry-filling-cakes-pies-desserts/#recipe
after you have all the componets, what i did was i rolled a small portion of the dough out on a well floured counter. i put a blob of frosting int he center and then topped it with a (gernerous) spoonful on the reasberry filling. then i closed the packet and sealed the ends. After heating the oven to 400 degrees (208 celcius) i put the pastries in a muffin tin and poked holes in it. before putting it in the oven i coated the top with egg wash (made of egg and milk). bake for 15 minuets and hope it doesn't explode. i'm gonna try it a couple more times and post any tips on how to make them better (especially look wise...they are pretty rough but thats fixable after practice) I would send a video of me cutting them open but i'm in it and im not particulary comfortable with that sorry.
Ooh, could you mail some to me?
Those actually look quite a lot like how I pictured them! Yum!!
Those look really good. My grandma would say they weren't cooked enough (she likes most of her food basically burnt) and my sister would say it was too cooked. (for s'mores, she had her marsh mellow over the fire for like, less than 5 seconds)
Those look really good!
That's quite a long time to work at a recipe. You must have put a lot of work into that.
Yummy! *Berry buns run away*
