I'm super late to this, but the burning building would also serve to drive the fangs out of the building, making it easier for the forest creatures to dust them all. No fang could just hide in a nook somewhere in the building and get the Igibys in the morning.
Because once the whole manor caught fire, it made a much bigger blaze and the fire could be seen from much further away, so the toothy cows and horned hounds from a bigger area of the forest could see it! The torches might have attracted a few monstrous animals, but the big blaze brought many!
I doubt they'll re-animate that whole scene... though it would be nice if they explained where Janner had heard "Artham P. Wingfeather, Throne Warden of Anniera" before.

I’m not really sure, but anklejelly manor is a lot bigger and reaches higher than the fang army’s torches.
That’s a good point! Maybe because the torches attracted less animals at once than the burning building and the fangs were able to subdue them?
Or maybe Andrew didn’t think of that…😂
😲🧐
