Is there any part or element of The Wingfeather Saga that you legitimately wish was not in the series? I don't mean parts that were super sad or anything, but parts that are literally bad.
I have a couple grievances. One is the occasional potty humor (mostly in the first couple books). The other one is close to the beginning of The Warden and the Wolf King where Janner turns 13 and his "friends" force feed him 13 muffins after he ate a very full meal. That was disgusting, kind of immoral, and made even worse from Peterson trying to present it as something funny. Why were the other characters enjoying that? I have no idea.
What are yours?

I've been trying to think of anything that stood out to me, or anything I didn't specifically like, but I can't think of anything. I don't know if this counts, but after watching the show, I feel like it ruined the way I liked the book and characters. Not that I don't still love Wingfeather! But now, when I think of it, the first thing that comes to mind, is that I didn't enjoy the show as much as I had hoped I would, and that I didn't like the characters as much. Whereas, the characters in the books were much more enjoyable.
What is so bad with the muffin thing?!
Podo kissing Nurgabog in book 2 made me ever so slightly ill.
Ok I'm really sorry for all of you who were bothered by this but... I don't recall ANY potty humor in Wingfeather. Save for when Janner fell into Danny the Carthorse's nuggets, which is kind of borderline potty humor for me (it had a reason of being there, to give emphasis on Janner's bad day, so that his explosive actions would seem reasonable). But I don't remember anything else! Any examples, page numbers if you have them, would be good.
Those are some really good points. I thought the muffin thing was gross. And some of the humor was in very poor taste. I know people who aren't allowed to read it for that reason.
It was definitely interesting! But it didn’t stand out to me! The Hollows definitely have some interesting traditions, but I thought it was entertaining!😅 Potty humor could either way for me, I don’t really care. It wasent awful compared to other things. I’ve grown up with that kind of humor like in the books so I’m immune to it!
The muffin thing was... weird, now that I think of it. I'll have to reread that part. 🤔
The humor didn't really bother me, because I didn't think it went further than childish humor (people picking their noses, burping, and I can't remember much else). I think it's pretty common to hear little kids laughing about those things, and I never thought of it as wrong, especially when you're little- just impolite.
If anything, the only things that bothered me were some unnecessarily long, creepy descriptions in the fork factory scenes, and in the first two books overall. *shivers*
The potty humor as you called it personally didn’t bother me. I do somewhat agree with the whole hunny muffin thing but it definitely didn’t ruin the story for me. The whole prank thing between Podo and Buzzard Willy I didn’t really agree with, our family has never really been one to do pranks or stuff like that, but it ended up saving the boys lives from Slarb so I'm kinda back and forth about it.
I immensely enjoyed the whole series. The only thing that bothered me was actually in the book Wingfeather Tales, with the stories The Wooing of Sophelia Stupe, and Willow Worlds. I definitely enjoyed these tales, however the thing that bothered me was how they introduced the whole new concept of traveling to other worlds. This wasnt ever canon to the series, but I guess now it is. What bothered me was how they made it canon, but then didn't explore it more at all. So now I'm stuck wondering if I should accept this concept as canon or not. (And also where Sophelia Stupe is and what happened to Podo and Wyle That Creepy Portal Dude.)
to be honest I wish the first book was a bit more wild and epic because the writing gets better and better as the stories go on, I have to convince some people to keep reading, “it gets better, just keep reading!!” the later books are more epic, so I’ve actually had some people quit after the first book 😬 and that’s partly their fault, but the first book IS slower moving for sure. and idk how I’d even change it— it’s a great book obviously. but yeah, I dunno guys now I’m doubting my opinion— who am I to come against the great anger peterson?! anyway the random ramblings of fara
I didn't mind the part about Janner when he was eating the honey muffins, although I was slightly disturbed. I was 13 as well when I was reading the series for the first time and so it was sort of funny. And while I would prefer that there was no potty humor, it was very sparse and it did not in any way spoil the series to me. I can't think of anything though that I wish was not in the series.

Hold your tongue infidel! This is the most perfect book series the world has ever known! It's time for a reread.
Seriously though, the only thing I didn't like while reading the books was the bathroom humor. I've never thought that those things were "funny", but when it's in book form I can easily read past it so it didn't bother as bad as when it's in a movie or TV show. And I guess also all the times that Janner was forced away from his family (that's a recurring fear of mine so it hit me really hard), but after finishing the series I know now that those moments are there for a reason.
I agree about the vulgar humor, and I don't care for Cara Sobbler, but I don't have many other issues with it, beyond they included "diversity is dignity" as one of their core values.
I was thirteen when I was reading the series for the first time by the way
I actually loved the part where he was forced to eat the muffins. It was very entertaining, and though it was hard for him to do it wasn't harmful.
