I’m so sorry it took me this long. I kind of forgot about it and then procrastinated . . .hehe. Well here you go! Any feedback would be awesome! Thanks!
As Janner and I traveled through Anniera my emotions tumbled through cycles of nervousness, anxiety, excitement, and fear. Eventually, the nervousness of seeing the Shining Isle in real life gave way to excitement. I pestered Janner about Castle Rysen, Kal, Leeli, Nia, Artham and Arundelle. Janner told me that Castle Rysen had been restored, Kal was becoming a better king, and Leeli was as sweet as ever. Artham and Arundelle were finally getting married!
“How is Sara?” I asked.
Janner blushed and ducked his head so I couldn’t see. “She- She’s fine. She’s. . .yeah.”
“She’s what? I pestered, chucking an apple at him.
Janner shook his head. “You know sometimes you’re just like Kal.” And he changed the subject. We traveled on through the night and Janner told me more about what happened after the war. People were settling down and starting farms. Anniera was healing.
That night we arrived at Castle Rysen.
Janner knocked at the great gate, and Kalmar opened.
“Janner! You’re back!” He cried and tackled him. I stood to the side, watching them.
“Kal! How many times do I have to tell you not to leave the blueberry jam on the counter!” a voice cried from inside.
“Uh oh. . .” Kal said.
Leeli emerged from the castle holding the jam with one hand. She was leaning on her crutch with the other. Her dog followed her, hiding underneath Leeli’s turquoise dress. Then she saw Janner.
“Janner!” She cried and hobbled to her brother. She hugged him and then turned on Kalmar, who was doing his best to wipe the jam off his cape.
“Kal. . .”
“Uh, hi Leeli, How are you doing?” Kalmar asked, looking nervously at Janner for help.
“Kal. . .” Leeli’s voice grew more dangerous.
“Uhh, Leeli. . .”
Leeli exploded. “Seriously, Kal! How many times do I have to tell you to NOT LEAVE FOOD OPEN ON THE COUNTER?!”
“I didn’t!” Kalmar protested.
“Still sweet as ever, right?” I whispered to Janner.
Janner smirked and rubbed the back of his head. “Well. . .most of the time.”
Leeli and Kalmar stopped their fighting when they noticed me for the first time.
“Hi!” Leeli said.
“Uh, Janner, who is this?” Kalmar asked.
“I’m Christy,” I said and curtsied.
Leeli snorted. “Don’t curtsy to the King of Leaving the Jam Open on the Counter.”
"I am not!" Kalmar exploded. Ans they went back to arguing.
"Janner?" A voice asked from the doorway. Kalmar and Leeli pulled up short. We all looked up the stairs. It was Sara. Kalmar and Leeli looked at each other and smirked as Sara came down the stairs. They each grabbed me by the arm and hauled me into the castle.
"Now we can make some real planning!" said Kalmar.
"For what?" I asked, confused.
"You'll see." Leeli said.
I groaned. Here we go again I thought.
No other feedback?
Ohhhh no what are Kalmar and Leeli going to do to you?
