-Shots chapter, but I think it still makes a good Thanksgiving gift to get away from Seth's craziness and (For me) the hospital. I've been there a lot for Papa and he's doing a lot better. Thank you so much for the prayers. um, anyway, ON WITH THE STORY!
Esben smiled as he watched his brother finally run off to find the others. Picking up where Artham left off, he pulled his brother’s sword out of the ground. It was heavier than his and he had to use both hands.
Esben managed to get the blade up in time to block the next strike, but dropped it and missed the next.
“Really?” he complains, unaware of his words slurred together and his vision blurring out.

The smoke stung in Arundelle’s eyes as she forced her way through the rubble.
She looked over when she heard Esben nearby, hoping Artham was still close.
“REll-?” she heard, then he crumpled to the ground and snake people swarmed around him. They cleared a moment later and the king was shackled and chained, drug to the shore where a boat was arriving. Artham was nowhere near.
“No,” she whispers, and the next batch of creatures pile off another boat. “No. Please no,” Her vision went blurry, but she didn’t know if it was because of smoke or tears. The creatures holding Esben stood on the dock, making no move to load him with the rest. One of them pointed to her hiding spot and shouted something under the wind.
She stumbled constantly and fell twice on the short trip to the water. They tossed her on and the boat left, leaving the King and his captors on the dock. Just before she turned away, she saw a glimpse of ink black hair running over, something long and shiny in hand.
Artham, she thought, Your king needs you. Stay strong, I’ll always wait for you.
-like said, rediciously short chapter. but here's what I guess is what happened when Artham left for Nia and them. This is also kinda all I had the motivation to write (And time) but thought It'd be a nice Thanksgiving surprise.
