Ok so a lot of you have said that you cried at the ending of the book. Also a lot of people have said they don’t really cry over books but they cried over this one. So my question is 1. Do you cry over books often or are emotional and 2. Did you cry over the ending?
I really want to know cause I don’t get super emotional over books but that might be cause I read a lot of sad and dystopian books… So lemme know and have a cookie for your sorrows🍪
Oh another random thing that is kinda on topic. Does anyone like laugh at serious parts in (mostly) movies? Like you know it’s not funny but you laugh anyway?
All my friends think I’m a weirdo for this, but yes, I cry over books a lot.
I actually don’t think I cried at the end of TWatWK which is weird because I remember being super sad but not crying for some reason. When Esben died though… I had to put my book down and just lay on the couch crying for like 8 minutes straight. When I was finally able to pick my book, I still couldn’t read a word for a few minutes because my eyes kept tearing up. …So yes, I cried during the Wingfeather Saga, but not at the ending for some reason.
1) YES, I do cry over books
2) YES (I believe I did, not 100% sure because I read it a looong time ago)
I am so glad you made this post because I literally wanted to ask these questions in a post.
My twin and sisters do not cry when reading, and I am beginning to think I am a little crazy.🤣
I'm kinda emotional, but my brain functions weird and only half processes a lot of emotions and reactions, so my real reaction tends to take much longer and then I no longer remember what I'm reacting to. over the book? no. never cried over a book or movie. including Beaches, only watched it because mama made me.
entirely off topic but anyone else randomly call parents really formal names? normally, I say mama and daddy, but then when it's like, food's ready or something, I'll go stand in the doorway and say "Mother, food time" or something along those lines
I don’t really cry over anything. I think the only thing other than the Wingfeather saga (which I balled over) is Avatar the Last Airbender (specifically the episode for Mako).
wellll.....the first time i ever cried over a book was Monster in the Hollows (when Esben dies) and i'm wasn't super emotional when it comes to books (now i am..) but i was during movies and tv shows so it kinda suprised me when i did
and yes, i cried during (and after!) the ending of TWatWK
1) never. not even movies
2) Yes. it was the first time, and i cried twice, but automatic waterworks is Chapter 89. I'll be quivering and then (like clockwork), i'll cry right as I read the first 'be still'.
also i just finished rereading the WFS and now i'm tired bc i spent the whole night going through the 5 stages of grief
It takes an EXCEPTIONAL author to get me crying. While I love WFS, I didn't cry once- although I came close during ch. 89 and at the end.
Sometimes I do, like when after 6 beautiful books the main character's husband and almost one year old baby are taken out by a missle hitting their house.
I think I was too stunned to cry.
Yes, I cry over books ALL. THE. TIME.
I definitely cried over the ending.
I cry at a lot of stuff. And yes, I did cry at the ending. Though I did tear up multiple times during the books.
I cried three or four times throughout the series. I usually only get emotional over books/movies if I feel safe (if I’m alone or just with family) never done that in public. I like dystopian too. I don’t remember how much I cried through. I think I was kinda shocked.
No and No...
Probably because I read so fast it doesn't hit me in full force until later... but I don't remember ever crying over the WATWK ending... I just imagined a "fix" to the situation as soon as I could...
