As Autumn sets in, the Thwap House is continuously grateful for all the support it has received. We have had so many new members join up this month!
Of course, now that it is November, the due date for the Word quarter of the annual T. H. A. G. S. Contest is passed and no further stories can be submitted. We eagerly await the placings from the contest!
In October, our illustrious member Janna the Heart wrote the finale to her epic tale “The Story of the Mittens of Nowheir”. Following it up with a few one shots in the same universe before beginning a new type of story, “The Mystery of the House on Road Street”.
As is now customary in The Thwap House, our members have posted a variety of memes during the month of October. Wingfeather memes, book memes, Lord of the Rings memes, Veggietales memes, even How to Train Your Dragon memes! We love them all. Keep them coming.
Along with the delightful supply of memes being shared on The Thwap House, Lurtz and Azog have continued to share their Lego creations. Wizards, orcs, and elves have all been featured in their stop motion videos. Mostly attacking each other! But that’s not the only thing our orcish members have been up to.
Towards the end of last month, Lurtz the Launderer, aided and abetted by Azog, attempted to turn the entire community of featherheads into orcs! Thus causing the long standing war between orcs and elves (plus a human or two) that lasted two days. Afterwards, most who fought in the war turned back to their ordinary selves.
Overall the atmosphere of The Thwap House has been quite peaceful. Members have found a delightful variety of subjects to discuss. Mostly to do with entertainment of one form or another. It would seem that enjoyers of The Wingfeather Saga find a sort of wonderful camaraderie in their taste in TV shows, movies, and books.
Our kind and respectful members add to the inclusive environment by showing us their passions and hobbies. Book collections, piano playing, blacksmithing abilities, costumes, and pumpkin carvings are just a few of the things our members are sharing with us. They are also sharing things that weren’t created specifically by them, but that they just loved enough that they wanted others to see. It makes for a happy website of people being able to connect and talk about things they like, and that’s something the Thwap House Team is always glad to see.
But our members take concern for community welfare to the next level. In October, some of the members, especially Kylie Knobloch, worked to organize a consistent way of requesting prayers and praying for others, whatever the need for prayers might be.
On the Wingfeather Saga media side of things, the Wingfeather based YouTube channel, Aerwiar Archives, has been working hard to improve his abilities as a content creator. The Thwap House was happy to hear this month that the channel’s owner, Elijah, was contacted by an employee at Angel Studios looking to hear more about his channel and story of getting into The Wingfeather Saga.
Of course, as we get closer to December, the anticipation for the series is growing steadily. Aerwiar Archives Official shared with us a sneak peek into the scene at Shaggy’s Tavern, which was then showcased in The Wingfeather Saga’s new featurette.
The Wingfeather Saga is picking up steam as they get closer to their red carpet premiere in Nashville. And there is only cooler stuff to come. Take a minute to share with us any Wingfeather based costume you might have made for the #WingfeatherHalloween contest!
As always, stay safe and we hope to see another month of connectivity and creativity.
Sincerely,
The Thwap House Team
