Funny story, when I was first reading WFS, I genuinely thought as I was reading that Artham had a personality disorder😂 Of course, as I kept reading, that's not exactly how I would define his mental state. When someone develops an alternate personality, one of the reasons is to cope with something traumatic that happened so that it "never happened to them." You can see it in my fan fiction about Nia and Podo finding Artham in Glipwood three years after the fall of Anniera (when he's "the Sock Man"), where I describe as like Peet being a completely different person. And Artham is someone he's trying to make disappear. You can read it in N!OBE, chapter fifty-five, page 270, "The red light would flash, and all that was left of Artham Wingfeather would disappear." It's like Peet is the cloven part of Artham. Like... a personality disorder??? Do you see my (crazy) point?

Arlow is trying to shoo him away, but can't do anything😂 Nia is probably hanging out with Wendolyn because everything is too much. Artham is retreating to the back of the ship, and is joined by Nia, and they have a heartfelt conversation while the entire ship is in chaos.
